Bad Breath Treatments That Are All Natural

Bad breath can seriously impact just about every aspect of your life. One of the biggest problems when you have halitosis is that all the well meaning folks around you just aren’t going to come right out and tell you that your breath is offensive. When someone finally does spill the beans, it leaves you feeling really self conscious and very embarrassed. For some people it doesn’t matter if they chew mint gum all day or brush their teeth a dozen times, their offensive breath problem just keeps reoccurring. If you’re dealing with that now, you already know that it’s not easy at all. You hate talking around others and your intimate friendships can fall apart because you just don’t feel comfortable. You can change that. If you’re tired of turning to toothpastes and mouth washes that don’t work, there are a few bad breath treatments that are safe and effective. Best of all they’re inexpensive and generally are things you’ve already got at home.

Drinking more water does your body good but it’s also one of the best bad breath treatments. Sometimes when a person has strong breath odor it’s caused by bacteria and you can help flush that out by consuming more liquids. That’s why it’s also suggested that you up your daily quota of tea. Drinking more green tea has many health benefits and it’s also great at killing those nasty bacteria in your mouth. Keep water bottles with you at all times and learn to consume at least eight full glasses of water a day.

Did you know that your tongue may be the culprit when it comes to your bad breath? Your tongue can collect a lot of bacteria and even though you may brush it each time you brush your teeth that may not be enough. Go to the drugstore and pick up an inexpensive tongue scraper. You can usually find them right around where they sell toothbrushes and floss. Then use the tongue scraper at least once a day. You’ll probably notice that it removes a lot of material and that’s great. The film that sits on your tongue could be harboring the bacteria that are causing the problem. This is one of the most effective bad breath treatments and it’s easy.

If you enjoy the taste of parsley it might become your best ally in your fight with unpleasant breath odor. Munching on a piece of parsley after eating can make a world of difference for people with bad breath. Get in the habit of purchasing a bunch each week when you do your grocery shopping and then indulge in a small piece after every meal. You should notice a change in your breath almost instantaneously.
