Ear, Nose and Throat Disorders Forum
I suffered from bad breath for years and I was sooooo miserable.
I suffered from chronic tonsillitis and tonsil stones. I visited the doctor several times and they told me I was fine and that those tonsil stones (the yellow things on your tonsils) where nothing to worry about. I was convinced that my bad breath was coming from them. I decided to have them removed. After surgery I thought my problem was going to be over but it wasn’t. I didn’t have the tonsil stones anymore because I didn’t have tonsils but I still had bad taste in my mouth.
If you have the following symptoms maybe you are suffering from the same thing I do:
burning feeling in the back of your throat
your breath is always warm and disgusting
sour taste in your mouth at all times (even after brushing your teeth)
post nasal drip
difficulty breathing (feeling stuffed at all times)
the mornings are the worse when you wake up with the sore throat
dry cracked lips from time to time
my symptoms were misdiagnosed with common allergies; I tried nasal sprays and allergy medicine for a while with out improvement.
I also tried the therabreath products†††††.What a waste of moneyyyy!
Tonsillitis and sore throat are not treated by scrapping your tongue and gargling daily, you must find what is causing your throat to be constantly sore in the first place.
I didn’t give up and continued looking for answers until my doctor asked me one day
do you suffer from heartburn††.? And I said only when I eat too much!!! Bingooooooo
this is it!! Heartburn not always hurts it could be silent and you could be suffering from it without even knowing. If you burp after eating, feel bloated and sometimes you have the feeling that your food is coming back to your throat you are suffering from gerd.
Bad breath is commonly coming from a burning esophagus.
Gerd causes all of those symptoms and even more††i hope this helps you and you can visit your doctor and discuss this with him.
Here is a helpful website that explains all about gerd and this could be the end of your suffering.

it has helped me relieve my symptoms. It is a daily battle but I am happy that finally I found the real problem!
