Homemade Remedies for Bad Breath – Associated Content

Safe Ways to Help Stop Bad Breath Odors Even though there have always been jokes circulating around about bad breath, it’s not a laughing matter. Especially if it’s YOU that has the problem. Health problems aside, a person’s diet is usually responsible for their breath. If your diet consists of a lot of coffee, dairy products, garlic, or onions, then your breath is going to suffer. And, if you smoke or use tobacco products, these also turn your breath sour. If you’re looking for a solution to the problem, then you need to try these homemade remedies for bad breath.

Along with brushing your teeth three times a day, after each meal, to help get rid of food particles and bacteria that causes bad breath, you can also use a homemade mouth wash. Stir two teaspoons of pure lemon juice into a six ounce glass of tap water. Rinse your mouth out with this solution. The acidic lemon juice will help freshen your breath. The tart taste will also make your saliva glands work more. If these glands don’t produce enough salvia, your mouth will be dry. Dry mouth is a leading cause of bad breath because your saliva helps clean the food particles from your teeth and tongue.

Note: Don’t forget to brush your tongue too! Your tongue is also a source of bacteria that can lead to bad breath. You can purchase a tongue scraper at your local pharmacy if you’ve rather do that instead of brushing. And, floss at least once a day to dislodge food particles from between your teeth.

Another homemade remedy for bad breath, you probably never thought of, is drinking water. The experts recommend that you should also drink six to eight glasses of tap water every day. The water will help hydrate your body, reduce the symptoms of having a dry mouth, and help keep your digestive system working properly.

If you suffer from a bad breath problem, you should also eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. They’ll help add more water to your body. Plus, they’ll help cleanse your digestive system.
