Use of Vitamin E for Bad Breath – Associated Content



Many people recommend the use of vitamin E or bad breath, lately a lot of over-the-counter bad breath remedies include this as the active ingredient. However, few sources explain what the exact benefit of vitamin E is for helping with bad breath. Vitamin E is known to be very important in maintaining healthy cells, however this still does not explain how vitamin E helps for breath, as a vitamin E deficiency is extremely rare.

It seems the most likely positive effect of vitamin E for bad breath comes from the antioxidant properties found within the vitamin. The vitamin E would be able to strengthen one’s immune system, which in turn allows the immune system to better fight off oral bacteria which causes bad breath. This is of course just speculation, but at this time seems to be the most probable explanation. The only thing that is for sure is studies verify that vitamin E has a hugely positive impact on people suffering from bad breath.

The best way to get vitamin E is to add it to your diet, vitamin E is present in many foods. Leafy green vegetables as well as certain nuts and seeds are very high and vitamin E. You may also think about using supplements or traditional vitamins. Vitamin E can be found in most all multivitamins as well as by itself. Many health products such as supplement and energy drinks also contain your daily dosage of vitamin E.

One may use vitamin E as a natural and inexpensive way of fighting off bad breath. It works well and takes no effort. In the past people have had to invest in expensive and intensive treatments of teeth and gum cleaning chemicals to help fight of bacteria that causes bad breath. Why go through the hassle of using expensive chemicals applied to your teeth and gums when you can just get a little more vitamin E in your diet and accomplish the same end result?
